Echo how many days to expiry of the listing

I’m currently displaying the listing expiry date on my listings, but I’d like to also show how many days are left until the expiry date.

Is there a code snippet or an easy way to achieve this? Any help would be appreciated. This would really add some value to what I’m trying to do.

I implemented something like this on my own site a while back.

If you read through the topic, you can find the portion of the snippet responsible for the listing expiry counter, and then reuse it for your own use-case.
