Featured Image or Header Image not showing

Hi,
Im using the default free theme from Hive and I do not have a header image above the the search bar on the main page (homepage). I even added a featured image and it still does not apear.
I have the image set in header image and this appears correctly for any other pages or listing categories but not on the homepage.

any ideas?

Please make sure you add this image that by step, like in this screencast How to add a header image to pages - HivePress Help Center.

I was going to reply here that I found the issue with the Hero banner not showing and was exactly the solution you gave. thank you
