After updating HivePress/ListingHive, all my older listings still output the legacy slick-slider markup (slick-slider, slick-track, etc.). The new HivePress JavaScript no longer initializes this markup, so the gallery shows:
first image visible
all other images blank
thumbnails stacked vertically
images stretched extremely tall
There are no JavaScript errors in the console.
New listings created today use the correct carousel-slider markup and work fine.
Question: How do I force HivePress to regenerate the new gallery markup (data-component="carousel-slider") for existing listings? Is there a filter, action, or function that triggers the new gallery renderer for old listings?
I have already disabled all custom snippets and cleared cache. The issue only affects listings created before the update.
The first classes starting with slick- are generated by the slick slider script itself. We haven’t made any changes related to these classes.
The data-component="carousel-slider" attribute is also present in the template file by default. The slider uses this attribute to initialize itself.
If different listings (old and new) have different slider markup, this is most likely caused by a caching plugin or server-side/hosting cache. All listings, both old and new, use the same template file, so the markup should be consistent.
Please try clearing all caches and check the listings again.
You can also send temporary WP access to support@hivepress.io with the link to this topic, and we’ll check it (please send only the link, without login and password). You can create a temporary access link using this plugin.
The issue was related to the Advanced Ads Pro plugin settings, specifically the setting responsible for ad placement.
The ad placement method should be configured to use the JavaScript option instead of PHP . After switching to JavaScript, the gallery is displayed correctly.
