Have recurring payments for memberships been set up yet?

Is there a way to have recurring payments for a monthly paid membership to have a vendors listing posted. Alternatively, can they pay once for a month and then it auto-renews for free? ie. if they pay 12 months in advance as a lump sum?

Hi @Knode,

Yes, you can set up monthly recurring subscription payments tied to Memberships Plans, but you’ll need to purchase the plugin WooCommerce Subscriptions to have everything work seamlessly. (And, the Memberships plugin, if you don’t already have it.)

Thanks for the prompt reply. Very helpful. Are you also able to answer:

I currently use quickbooks for bookkeeping and accounting. I will begin to accept USD and other internation funds, so I believe I will need stripe or something similar to accept and process these funds. Does that mean I pay the WooCommerce transaction fees as well as strip processing fees?

Hi @Knode,

WooCommerce provides the website level tools needed to accept payment, etc. - They do offer a component (plugin) called WooPayments which you can optionally use to process payments. However, I believe the recommended payment gateway option to use with HivePress is the one provided by Stripe which integrates with WooCommerce and then acts as the payment processor. In this case, it would only be Stripe who receives transaction fees.

The WooCommerce base plugin is completely free. However, the Subscriptions extension is a premium plugin that requires an annual subscription to continue receiving the latest updates for it.

I just had a quick Google and see this plugin which helps integrate QuickBooks with WooCommerce. It sounds like this might be useful for you, too;
