It seems to me that multiple users would like for the Membership extension to be able to block access to certain categories, so that only those who purchased a specific Membership are able to view listings listed in a certain category.
I’m thinking something like:
- Membership plan 1 allows you to view most of the site.
- Membership plan 2 allows you to additionally view posts in the category “Secret”.
- Membership plan 3 allows you to additionally view posts in the category “Super Secret”.
Ideally, this would also work if a listing is part of multiple categories, e.g. a listing is in the category “Cool stuff” and also in the category “Secret”. Users who have not purchased membership plan 1 cannot see the listing because it is in the “Secret” category, but users with membership plans 2 and 3 can see the listing.
I’m not sure how easy this is to implement, but judging by the questions in the forum regarding this, it is my impression that there are quite a few HivePress users who would really enjoy this feature.
