Hi
I have a job post board where we need to distinguish between help wanted and help offered
I used Hivepress’ AI search to explain my issue and it recommended buying the Requests app.
However I have configured this and it hasn’t made a difference, so I wonder if I was given the correct information.
Please could anyone help? or offer any advice. I welcome any help.

Hi,
The Requests plugin can indeed be useful for your use case. If you have services (help offered) published as listings and would also like users to request services (help wanted), this can be achieved with the Requests plugin.
The workflow is as follows: users who are looking for a service publish a request, and vendors who can provide that service respond to the request by submitting their offers.
Could you please let us know what exactly didn’t work and what your desired workflow is? Once we have a bit more detail, we’ll be happy to guide you in the right direction.
Hi kseniia
The page I need help with is here Over 50s Job Search | Part time jobs | Help | RentaSenior
Basically people can either post their company and how they can help. But we also need people who can post when help is wanted.
It is all integrated with the Membership and WooCommerce to buy the membership.
At the moment I am using a custom attribute field to label which is help wanted or help offered.
Thanks for the details.
If you decide to use the Requests plugin, here is how you can set it up:
Once the plugin is activated, there should be a Post a Request button in the top-right corner of the page. You can rename this label if needed using the Loco Translate plugin in Loco Translate > Plugins > Requests.
In the WordPress dashboard, go to Requests > Attributes and create custom fields such as type of work, and other details that can help vendors find suitable requests and offer their services, or you can create categories for requests.
You will also need to create a dedicated Requests Page:
- Go to WordPress Dashboard > Pages and create a blank page with any name you prefer.
- Assign this page under HivePress > Settings > Requests > Requests Page.
- Add this page to your header menu via WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Menus.
This will give you a dedicated section for requests (Help Wanted), where users can post what they need, and vendors who can provide the service can respond with their offers: e.g., Requests – ExpertHive.
Alternatively, you can use only listings and create two main categories, for example: Help Wanted and Help Offered.
Then you can create child categories under each one. These categories can be added to your header menu as separate pages or dropdown items.
Hope this helps
