How to add location for search

So my apologies I feel like my answer is probably already in here somewhere, I just don’t know what to call it.

but

My question is, how can I add locations as a searchable attribute? What I’m making will only be available in 1state so I don’t really want the geo location plugin since only specific areas will be included.

I’ve added the cities as attributes already, but I don’t see how I can make that in the listings search

I’m wanting to add it to the search so it can be searched alone or with whichever category they select also. Is this possible?

Hi,

Unfortunately, there is no simple solution for this using attributes; it would require a custom implementation. Therefore, we recommend using the Geolocation extension.

Do you know if it’s possible to make geo location only display certain areas ( Manhattan, Brooklyn, Etc) or does it have to be worldwide?
