How to add missing category placeholder text in search form?

Hi,

My category dropdown menu is missing placeholder text in the search form. Keywords and location is there but I would like it to say “Category” in the blank category drop down menu on the far right. How can I add that text?

Hi,

Please make sure that you select Categories in HivePress > Settings > Listings > Default Fields.

Also, please disable third-party plugins and customizations (if there are any) and check if this issue persists. If you use a caching plugin, make sure that caching is disabled for logged-in users.

Unfortunately all plugins except HivePress plugins are disabled and it remains blank. Do you have other suggestions?

Note it only disappears on the listings (home) page. If I remove header image it shows up. No matter which image I select it disappears. Keywords & Location placeholders remain visible.
