Hi,
If you offer free packages on your website and want users to renew these packages, please enable the Allow multiple free packages option in HivePress > Listings > Packages. You don’t need to link free packages to WooCommerce products since they don’t require billing details.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.
i want to allow only one free listing without linking to a wordpress free package in order to dont show the checkout messages
If there’s at least one package on the site, selecting a package is required anyway, so if you want to offer one free listing, just add a package without a WooCommerce product and set the limit to 1 listing. If you don’t want users to reuse this package indefinitely, disable renewals in the settings, otherwise users will just select the free package again once their limit of 1 is reached.
Hope this helps.
i have this setting already
and allowing renewals
i have set 1 as limit of listings with the free package
and no woocommerce package attached but users can post many listings
If you want vendors to be able to post only one listing, please disable the Allow multiple free packages option.
If this option remains enabled, vendors will be able to add an unlimited number of listings, since they can always renew the free package. To allow only a single listing and then charge vendors for additional ones, please disable the option mentioned above.
thanks
there are one free package and one paid
and one free product and one paid
but the free package is not connected with any product to avoid checkout messages
but i wanted to offer one free post but with controlled expiration
As mentioned earlier, you can use the free package to offer a free listing submission with an expiration date. If you want to limit this, please disable the Allow multiple free packages option. This ensures vendors cannot renew a free plan.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Hi,
When i set hivepress free package for Let say 30 days expiration duration for 4 number of listings.
Now if i dont check mark “Allow multiple free packages“ after 30 days expiry the users are not able to select free package again as limit exceeded appears.
On the contrary if i select this check mark “Allow multiple free packages“ the users can select free package multiple/unlimited times and can list more than 4 listings, before first 4 listings expire (30 days).
I want that users could only select free package again, when 4 listings cross their expiration period (30 days).
It is standard and intuitive. But why not applicable in hivepress?
Hi,
These are packages rather than membership plans, so the logic works a bit differently. The limit counts the maximum number of additions or renewals, not the number of listings that can exist simultaneously. We’re planning to add the “simultaneous listings” logic to the Memberships extension, but for now, the system counts actions rather than active listings.
To achieve the setup you described, there’s a workaround you can use: set an Expiration Period (for example, 30 days), so listings will expire after 30 days. If vendors select the free package again, they can use the limit to renew their existing listings. This means the limit will be spent on renewals rather than new additions. This way, even if they reselect the free package, they won’t be able to maintain more than 4 published listings per month.
Hope I helped with your request.
