How to enable vendor registration

Hello, I’m trying to figure out how to automatically create a seller (supplier) profile for someone who registers on my website, without them needing to fill out a seller (supplier) form. Thank you for your help.

Hi @Chris9123,

To enable direct vendor registration in HivePress:

  • Enable the feature in HivePress > Settings > Vendors and toggle “Allow direct registration”
  • Add required vendor attributes in Vendors > Attributes (at least one required attribute must be set for the vendor profile form to appear)
  • Add the registration link to your menu in Appearance > Menus by creating a custom link to /register-vendor (e.g., with label “Become a Vendor”)

When direct registration is enabled, users can register as vendors directly via the /register-vendor URL without requiring them to add a listing first.

The registration flow includes:

  • Initial login/registration form (standard user signup)

  • Vendor profile completion form (if required vendor attributes are set)

  • Vendor profile becomes published after completion

  • Permalinks must be refreshed in Settings > Permalinks for the /register-vendor URL to work properly

  • Without direct registration enabled, users only become vendors after submitting and getting their first listing approved

  • This is useful if you want vendors to have complete profiles visible on your site even before they list any services

I hope this helps!

PS: in the future, please post questions in English so the topic is beneficial for the entire community. You can use a service like Google Translate, if need be.
