How to import a listing for another vendor

Hi. I’m bulk importing listings for my directory site. The listings are assigning each bulk imported listing to my username when I’d rather they be assigned to a specific user/vendor name.

Questions:

  1. Am i doing something wrong in the bulk import? I’m listing the user I want to assign each listing to, but it’s not working.
  2. Alternatively, is there a way to bulk change the vendor after the import?

Hi,

By default, listings are owned by the user who imported them. There are two possible solutions to change this:

You can manually change the vendor by going to Listings > Settings > Vendor. Alternatively, you can log into another vendor’s profile and import the listings from their account.

Thanks. A couple of notes:

  1. I didn’t have that path on my end ( Listings > Settings > Vendor), so I can’t confirm if that would solve my problem. Could you please clarify?

  2. I created a Vendor that I want and associated it with my user account. When bulk importing under that user, is there a way to choose what vendor is assigned? Right now it’s assigning it to my user email address. But I’d rather the vendor be a specific vendor I created and associated with my user ID.

  1. Sorry for the confusion. You can change the vendor manually in WP Dashboard > Listings.

  2. Unfortunately, no, this feature is not available. It would require advanced customization.
