How to renew your listing after the expiration date

Hi,
I have a problem similar to this post :
Renew A Paid Listing update - General / Paid Listings - HivePress Community
I noticed requests to update listings on the site with a new expiration date of +365 days.
I have the paid listing plugin with two paid plans lasting 365 days, but I haven’t received any new orders to renew their listings.

So I tested it by creating a user account, submitting a test listing, and changing the expiration date to D+1 so that it expires. I followed the steps to renew the listing, and when I click on the renew listing button, I get the confirmation directly, without any new payment:

Listing renewed
Thank you! Your “dfdf” listing has been renewed and will appear at the top of the page.

How can I fix this major issue? I thought you were supposed to provide a solution in 2024, is that the case?

Thanks in advance!

Oh le Pastis, ça vient ?

Are you sure you did not have any credits (aka listings) left when you renewed ?

:rolling_on_the_floor_laughing: Oh bah avec les taxes de douane toussa, le pastis va revenir très cher

What do you mean about credit ? → “limite des annonces” ?

If you have a package with some remaining credits (i.e. listings limit is not reached), when you activate a “hidden” listing you don’t need to pay.

I hope it makes sense.

Okay, I understand this logic better.
Indeed, for my paid list, I had set 3 listings, but I didn’t understand how it worked.

For me, giving the option to publish 3 listings means 3 unique listings. No “credit.”

I’ll give an example.
I have three categories on my site. I would like the user who chooses a plan to be able to post three unique listing, one for each category.

In the way HivePress works, if I understand correctly, if I set the limit to 3, does that give the option to renew the listing 3 times, and/or post two more listing ?

Basically, if I set an expiration date of 365 days, the customer only pays once for 3 years, for one listing. And for me, that’s not very clear, and not very logical either.

I am not part of the support team, but here’s the way I see it, and the way it works for me :
If you buy a package holding three listings, and you use only 2 (published), when the first one expires, then you are able to renew it (because you have one credit left).

If the second listing expires, and you want to renew it, you have no credit left, so, as a user, you need to renew (pay) for a new package.

Yes, it’s a point of view and approach to how to offer a service. I’ll consider a different approach.
Thank you for your clarification.
