OR How to show a drop-down list of all regions/sub-regions with listing in the keyword search area just list the category drop-down there?
Unfortunately there’s no such feature, regions are used as background taxonomies applied when there’s no specific address search. Although if you find a plugin that lists custom taxonomies then it’s possible, the taxonomy is Region (“hp_listing_region” type).
Which plugin would you recommend for this purpose?

Sorry, but there is no simple solution for this, such as adding an extension, it will require advanced customization.
