How to show only specific packages on the Listing Submit page?

Hi there.

I have HivePress 1.7.15

I’m using HivePress packages to limit the number of listings users can submit. I have:

  • 3 free listings package

  • 15 paid listings package

I also have other packages like “feature listings” and “quickpeek,” but these are not relevant for limiting submissions.

The problem: On the listing submit page, all packages are displayed. I want to show only the 3 free and 15 paid listings packages there, so users can only choose between the packages that control listing limits.

What I’ve tried:

  • Checked the hivepress/v1/forms/listing_submit filter to alter the submit form fields, but couldn’t find the correct way to filter the packages field.

  • Tried hiding irrelevant packages via snippets, but couldn’t. Maybe the wrong hook or timing (no idea).

Question:
Is there a hook or method in HivePress to filter packages on the listing submit page so only the relevant “listing limit” packages appear?

Thanks for any guidance!

Hi @tati,

If you go into the relevant products in WooCommerce, in the sidebar you should see a Catalog visibility setting. You can set the non-membership products to hidden, and they’ll still work as expected when a user tries featuring a listing, etc.

I hope this helps!

Thank you for your reply. The thing is it is not a Woocommerce thing, all irrelevant items are drafted in woocommerce for time being. But HivePress gives these packages. I want to keep packages published, but don’t want to show them all upon listing submitting.

Hi,

In Paid Listings, you cannot use certain packages as “add-ons” because all of them, even the ones you added for featuring only, have listing limits. The packages that mark listings as featured simply set the listings’ featured status, but the listing limit still applies.

If you want to give the option to feature a listing after it has been added with a basic package (the ones you want to display), this can be done through HivePress > Settings > Listings > Featuring. There, you can select a product in WooCommerce, and a star icon will appear next to the listings (with a link to “Feature Listing” when editing the listing). This allows you to let users feature an already added listing for a fixed price.

Regarding “Quickpeek,” it’s difficult to advise because it’s unclear what the add-on package is supposed to do.

Please note that in Paid Listings, all packages are displayed. You can make them category-specific if different categories have different prices for adding listings, but the logic of a package is always the same: it represents the purchase of a specific listing limit. You cannot selectively show some packages or treat some as add-ons.

If you need that kind of flexibility, it is possible in Memberships, where you can create a feature-only plan with no listing limit but with a limit on featuring only.

Hope I helped with your request
