Hi. I would like to start verifying listings on my site. To do so, I think I would add an optional ID submission on the submission request.
If that is the case, even If I will delete the ID image after verifying the listing, I believe the ID image will still be stored on a media library in wordpress.
For security purposes, I think I’d better make sure to delte it from there as well.
Do you know how to do that/any other idea of how to properly verify users?
kind regards,
Francesco
Hi,
The Verified Listings option is manual, and the workflow depends on your requirements for a listing to be verified. The verified listing checkbox only marks a listing as verified or not.
As a workaround, you could create a separate page with a contact form containing the fields needed to obtain verification, along with any attachments (using a contact form plugin of your choice). Then, on the listings, you can add a link or button directing users to this form.
Regarding attachments, if you delete a file from WP > Media > Library, it’s no longer stored on the site, it may only exist in backups. If you’re using caching plugins, images could remain cached for some time.
Hope this helps
