I activated "Allow submitting new listings" in the settings but don't see a button or link for visitors

I would expect a link or button to appear so that visitors can add a listing but don’t see anything on the page showing the listings I added at the backend.

Nor do I see a hive press code block that I could add to the page with the listings to add an “Add listing” link or button.

Am I missing something?

Hi @TC_admin,

If you look at the demo sites, you’ll see the ‘Add Listing’ button is shown as a ‘+’ icon/ button in the main menu. If you’re using a third-party theme, you may need to implement a custom solution to get the menu items to appear.

I hope this helps!

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the reply. I am using the Tiny Framework WordPress theme. What would a “custom solution” look like?

Also, I would prefer an “Add listing” button on the listing page, rather than an “Add listing” in the menu.

Cheers

Hi @TC_admin,

I’m not HivePress staff, but they’ll probably respond tomorrow morning.

In the meantime, you can read this documentation on using third-party themes.

Or, If you want a super simple solution and you’re able to add a button yourself, you can just link it to /submit-listing/ and it should begin the submission flow process, regardless of if you’re using any monetisation extensions, or not.

I hope this helps!

Thanks Chris! This did the trick.

Is there a similar link to manage the listing (edit/remove)?

I tried /manage-listing/ but that didn’t work.

Hi @TC_admin,

Pleased to hear that worked for you. Each listing has its own dynamic URL for editing them. However, users can view/access/manage all of their listings via /account/listings/.

I hope this helps!

This works too. Thank you, Chris!
