Images are not deleted from WordPress media

I want to confirm if there is a setting I am missing.

When a user deletes his/her listing the images stay within the media library. On the post I read it says by default it is deleted or moves to the trash.

the photos does not get deleted nor moved the the trash.

I have the hivepress theme and plugin so nothing out of the ordinary like a plugin that can effects

Can someone please advise if I’m missing a setting, code or post that I missed.

Hi,

Please make sure that you have removed this listing from Trash, if it is still displayed there, then the picture will also be displayed in Media.

Thank you. I have seen now where the problem comes in for everyone and will write something here for future visitors:

  1. So when testing and developing most of us are in between the Media Libary

  2. Thus when we delete a listing we all tend to go to the Media Libary and see our photo files there.

  3. Once the listing has been deleted from the user end.

  4. Go to Listings (Hivepress)

  5. at the top “Bin” link will be added but everyone talks about “trash”

All (x) | Mine (x) | Published (x) | Drafts |Bin (1)

  1. Click on bin.
  2. once entered, click empty bin (Trash)
  3. Images will now be deleted if you go back to Media Libary and refresh the page
