Images in Listings Not Loading Properly Until Refresh

Hi, I’m using the RentalHive theme, and I have an issue with images in listings. When I open a listing page for the first time, images do not load at all. However, when I refresh the page, they appear.

What I Have Tried:

  1. I reinstalled the RentalHive theme from scratch – issue persists.
  2. I checked with another theme (ListingHive) – images load fine there.
  3. I cleared all cache (server + browser) – no change.
  4. I disabled lazy loading for images in listing-images.php – still no effect.
  5. I tested on different devices (desktop & mobile) – same problem.

Is there a known fix for this? Or maybe some file differences between ListingHive and RentalHive that could be causing the issue? Thanks! :folded_hands:

Thanks for your response, but the issue is not related to the license – it’s caused by Slick Slider in RentalHive. After multiple tests, we found the root cause:

  • The issue only occurs in RentalHive, while ListingHive works fine.
  • Images in listings don’t load on the first page visit, but they appear after a refresh.
  • Disabling Slick Slider (slick('unslick')) makes images load immediately, confirming it’s the cause of the issue.
  • This happens on both desktop and mobile versions.

What’s next?

  1. Can you confirm if this is a known bug in RentalHive?
  2. Is there an official fix or update to resolve it?
  3. Where exactly in the RentalHive theme code does Slick Slider initialization cause this problem, so we can apply a stable fix?

If you are sure that you have the latest version, please send us a link to your site and we will check it in more detail (also, please do not edit the listing-images.php file, and restore it to the default before sending us a link).
