hey. i saw some other posts from 2023 and 2024 and well its 2025 and wondering if anyone figured out how to have all your registration via ultimate member but they can still add a listing on your hivepress directory.
i don’t need messaging as they can list their preferred method of contact but i still want registered folks to be able to save (haven’t figured out the my listings to work or the my favs) and to leave reviews?
they are compatible until the moment the listing is approved. then it all goes wrong.
also open to any success stories of using a third party integration plug in. has anything worked for anyone or does everyone abandon hivepress for another directoy plug in and if so which one to work with kadence? ideally i am not losing all my work but i needs what i needs and and two AI thingies led me astray.
Currently, there’s no specific integration with the Ultimate Member plugin and it’s not planned as this plugin duplicates many HivePress features. We’d have to rely on Ultimate Member or implement an automatic replacement of features when this plugin is enabled, but this would require ongoing maintenance efforts. The main issue is that this plugin implements its own profile pages for users, if you’re familiar with coding or have a developer it may be possible to merge both profile pages (for example the account menu and layouts) so the profile page and form wouldn’t be duplicated. The rest of HivePress features like the listing pages, reviews, etc. shouldn’t be affected by the Ultimate Member.
thank you so much for the reply. bummer to have to leave hivepress. but the idea of dealing with errors on every update when i don’t know code like that, too much. i put so much work in. but i guess i will figure out refunds next. bummer.
Sorry if you had a bad experience. HivePress itself doesn’t cause errors on updates, the issue is probably based on the conflict with the Ultimate Member plugin. We don’t advertise HivePress as being based or integrated with Ultimate Member, it’s a separate feature-rich plugin for managing user profiles in WordPress. HivePress also implements many similar features, thus there may be conflicts or duplicated features. In any case, we’ll consider integrating with Ultimate Member in the future.
