Is there a limit to the number of categories that can be added?

I’ll start off by saying I’m completely new to this.
When adding a new category is there a limit to the number allowed? I was attempting to add 11 categories. In my first attempt 5 of the 11 appeared on the site under all categories (along with the 3 that already exist). I went back into categories and deleted the 6 that weren’t there and redid them. This time 8 of the 11 appeared on the site excluding the last 3 additions.

When I deleted 1 of the 3 pre-existing categories and then added one of mine, it then appeared on the site.

Is that something of my doing or is there a limitation to the number of categories?

Hi,

Please note that there are no restrictions on our part. This issue could be caused by two options:

  1. If you mean the categories block on the homepage, then you need to edit this page in WP Dashboard > Pages > Home page > select this block on the right sidebar and increase the number of categories displayed.

  2. If the first option does not work, then try re-saving one of the categories in WP Dashboard > Listings > Categories, this will refresh the cache.
