Is there a solution to add more images to the menu (footer)

I’d like to add more images to the footer menu. The theme doesn’t allow this I can only link to pages, posts, custom links etc.

Specifically I’d like to add an image or add a link to an image, in my footer menu.

Please try to make changes in Site (footer) section in Appearance/Widgets

I did my own workaround. Doesn’t look good but it will have to do, as you don’t let me adjust the columns, layout or formatting of the footer
