Issue with Paid Listings Redirection to Payment Page Despite Active Membership

I’m encountering a persistent issue with the Paid Listings extension on my site. Despite having the Premium membership active, every time I attempt to create a listing, I am redirected to the payment page /submit-listing/package/ to select a plan, even though I already have the membership.

Here is a summary of the steps I have taken to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Cache Clearing: I have cleared the cache both in my browser and on the server, including disabling LiteSpeed cache temporarily, as recommended by various resources.
  2. Membership Configuration: I reviewed all the settings related to Paid Listings and the membership configuration in HivePress. I made sure that there are no restrictions preventing access to listing creation for users with active membership.
  3. WooCommerce Product Configuration: I checked the WooCommerce products associated with listing packages and confirmed that there are no active paid products required for creating a listing. I ensured that all product settings are aligned with what HivePress requires.
  4. Category Selection & Listing Configuration: I reviewed the category selection process for the listings to make sure everything is set up correctly. I’ve also rechecked all relevant HivePress settings and followed the steps in the tutorials.
  5. Plugin Conflicts: I deactivated and reactivated all plugins and double-checked the configuration, ensuring that there are no conflicts causing the issue.

Despite all these efforts, the system is still redirecting me to the payment page, even though my membership is active.

Could you please investigate this issue and help me understand why the redirection is happening despite the active membership? I would really appreciate your support in resolving this issue.

Thank you for your help.

Hi @RoldaYork,

Sometimes the most simple things are rainyoverlooked. Has the active membership still got a remaining submission limit?

Cheers,
Chris :victory_hand:

Hi Chris,

Yes, the active membership still has a remaining submission limit. Specifically, a Premium member can submit up to 100 listings and has a 1-year membership. However, even when trying to submit their first listing, they are still being redirected to /submit-listing/package/ instead of /submit-listing/details/.

I also tried deactivating the Membership plugin to rule that out, but the issue still persists. It seems that the problem is related to the Paid Listings plugin, as the system is still forcing users with an active membership to go through the “free plan” selection process.

In fact, even when I deactivate WooCommerce, the redirection still happens. What occurs is that, after uninstalling WooCommerce, the paid plan loses its price and becomes a “free plan.” This forces the user to accept the free plan in order to create the listing, which is illogical, since I have an active Premium membership.

I’ve tried everything, including using AI tools to troubleshoot, but nothing has worked so far. The HivePress settings are configured correctly, and there are no restrictions in place. A user with an active membership should not be redirected to a payment page.

It seems like there might be a bug in the Paid Listings plugin, but I’m not sure. Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated. thank you for your time.

" It seems like there might be a bug in the Paid Listings plugin, as I, as an admin, am also required to choose a plan in order to create a listing."

Hi @RoldaYork,

Just to clarify, I’m not HivePress staff - just trying to help.

This one sounds a bit confusing, so the team will likely ask to have a look at your set-up once they have a chance to see your topic.

In the meantime, you can use the following plugin to create a temporary login account that doesn’t require a password or username.

Once you’ve created an admin login, send the login link only (no password, or username) to support@hivepress.io and include a link to this topic, or copy over your previous messages.

This will help the team be able to sort out the issue for you as fast as possible.

I hope this helps!

Cheers,
Chris :victory_hand:

Hi,

Thanks for the request. I recommend disabling the Paid Listings extension and using only Memberships, then there should be no issues. The Memberships extension has inherited all the features of Paid Listings, so there is no point in using both extensions at the same time. And yes, they can conflict, for example, when creating a listing, etc.

I hope it helps

thank you for your reply, but I’m really losing my mind here. I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for the fact that I’m still having issues with this, even after watching all the available tutorials. I bought the membership plugin and still haven’t received a response from technical support, only through this channel, with no solution. The issue persists: when I uninstall the “Paid Ads” plugin from HivePress, I’m still having problems when trying to publish. This time it’s not with the membership, but now anyone can publish without a membership. Is there any direct support available? Because the responses here are inconclusive. Thank you.

pd.I should clarify that I don’t want to impose any restrictions on my page for regular users, except for the creation of listings. That’s the only thing I want to block for free users: those who can’t see anything without paying a membership fee.

Well, I believe there is no technical support or interest in solving my issue. I will request a refund and opt for another platform. Wasted time…
