Limitations per plans/memberships

I will be using the subscriptions extension of woocommerce. When looking at the restrictions available in creating the PLANS how is it best to set it up so that the vendors will be restricted on message limit and offer limit PER MONTH. Ideally they will have approximately 5 messages per month, and 5 offers per month. Is it possible to set this up so that their vendor and listings will auto-renew each month (unless they edit) and their amount of messages and request offers will reset to the pre-determined value and NOT carry over?

Also, can someone clarify what the ‘attribute display’ restriction means? Does this mean that they cannot see those attributes on other vendors/listings or that it will not appear for them to complete on their own vendor profile and listings?

Thank you

Hi @Knode,

I’m not 100% about the first part of your question, so you’ll need to wait until the staff have a chance to respond. According to this update:

It is possible, but I don’t use the Requests extension myself, so I’m not sure how it works. I’d assume it adds its own tab under HivePress > Settings, and possibly, on the Plan creation screen, though.

However, regarding the attribute display restrictions - these can be applied when you would like to restrict who can view a filled in attribute.

For example, if you have a listing attribute of an email address that vendors provide for users to contact them, but, you’d like to hide the email address from the general public (or bots) - adding the attribute to the restrictions would require users to join and sign up to the membership plan in order to view the particular attribute(s) you selected.

Note: the membership plan that unlocks the ability to view a certain attribute can be free.

I believe there’s also a snippet on the forums that allows you to assign a default membership plan to newly created users, so unlocking the ability to see the attribute would only require signing-up, rather than signing-up AND having to select the free membership plan.

I hope that makes sense/helps!

Cheers,

Hi,

That’s exactly how it works with WooCommerce Subscriptions. The limits of the plan reset each month, any unused limits are not carried over. So, at every renewal, the user gets back to the maximum defined in the plan. For example, if the plan allows 5 offers, then each month the user can submit up to 5 offers, regardless of how many were used previously.

I believe Chris has addressed your request regarding the attribute display feature. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask.
