Listings not being assigned to existing regions

Hi

I briefly turned off ‘Generate Regions from Locations’ and - now that I’ve switched it back on - I seem to have an issue with listings not being assigned to the correct region.

Currently, if I have a region - say, Oxford - and I add a job in Oxford, instead of being assigned to Oxford, Hivepress creates Oxford-england and assigns the job to that location instead. This results in the listing not appearing when you search for Oxford on the front end.

I hope that makes sense and please let me know if you need any more detail.

Just to add, in my original set up, I included sub-regions, but when I added these listings, I only had country, region and city.

I think this is sorted now. I deleted regions and re-saved listings to recreate them and everything seems to be working as expected.

I’m guessing the issue was something to do with having regions created with sub-regions and then listings created when sub-regions had been removed, but I don’t know.

Thanks for the update.

If the issue was resolved after removing and re-saving, it was likely caused by some data inconsistency, possibly due to changes in the regions settings after the regions were initially generated.
