On Add Listing, the Location field auto-detects current position and shows a Plus Code / current address, but there is no autocomplete dropdown when I type. As soon as I press Enter or tab out, the field clears. Tested with Twenty Twenty-Five and only HivePress + Geolocation active.

If there is no drop-down with suggested location, that means that you haven’t configured your map provider correctly. Please make sure that you have enabled all APIs for your keys. Also, please ensure that you have added both API and Secret keys. Also, don’t forget to choose the right map provider in HivePress > Settings > Geolocation > Map provider.

I have the google Maps key api and have added new listings the Region is not automatically creating pages as the Docs suggest.
This is a very simple setup it should not be as complicated as it is, eg it should work given the setup instructions.

The are over 70 Counties in the UK and 100’s of cities! I have to add an entry for every location for an automatic Region to be created ? That is if any are auto created !

I recently managed to solve my own issue of Regions not being generated by removing any URL restrictions in my API settings. However, in my case, I’m using MapBox as the provider, rather than Google Maps, as I found MapBox easier to set up.

Hi Chris, appreciate your positive reply alas nothing has changed and I’ve tried everything. Sadly 25 years of web development and simple instructions is clearly not enough for someone who can read and apply logic !!!
There is clearly a glitch with this part of their solution and its not clearly worded or documented. If you cant explain it to a child its a sign you dont understand it. Granted API world inside Google is not straightforward but its pretty simple to setup Oauth API access and run n8n automations within a few hours. This Hivepress magical feature is on the other hand a mystery!!!

Please make sure that you have enabled all four APIs for your API key, as outlined in the documentation. Also, please verify that you’ve selected the desired regions to be generated.
When you create a listing, the region for that listing should be generated automatically if it hasn’t already been generated for other listings.
We do our best to keep our documentation clear and straightforward, but we understand that some aspects can be a bit tricky to navigate at first. Just to clarify—regions are generated based on user input rather than automatically for an entire country or city, as this helps maintain better performance and control over the data.

Hi Ksenica, it would appear this Location field not working has become entwined in a related issue! Very related issue.
When a location is added there should be a magical event! A Region and page associated with the region should be created at the time the listing is created. Unless I have misread this I am wondering why after creating a Location the Region is still a very blank page.
API’s are all setup good to go, maps are being displayed but Region is a baron place.
Can you clarify the manual setup please is there a link that outines setting up Regions ?

If you need to generate regions, please make sure the “Generate regions from locations” checkbox under HivePress > Settings > Geolocation is enabled.
We offer this as an option because different users have different needs—some prefer region-based search, while others find radius-based search more suitable for their use case. Our documentation mentions that region generation needs to be enabled for this feature to work properly: How to set up Geolocation - HivePress Help Center. Please ensure you’ve followed each step from the documentation.
You can also enable postcodes in the region types if needed. As mentioned previously, bulk export of all regions and their levels could potentially cause performance issues, which is why regions are generated based on user input.

so, there must be a glitch somewhere because this feature is 100% setup exactly as the documentation and there are no auto created regions so far !
