We have a fairly specific use-case where we want to send Request notifications to Vendors when they meet specific matching criteria. Ideally we’d be able to use category, attribute and location but we’d be ok if it was only one of these options. Location is most important to us and shared category would be secondary.
Thanks but we’re looking for something that doesn’t require the Vendors to manually do anything except sign up and provide cats/attributes etc. Having to push them to Search and save isn’t exactly ideal.
We’re looking for the system to send an email when a request matches location, attributes or cats that are applied to the Vendor.
Also, we’re looking at Requests, not Listings here. It appears that this extension is only for Listings?
Looking into the Search Alerts extension further… Is there a way to extend it to automatically create Alerts based on Location, Category or Attribute (assigned to the Vendor)?
Sorry for the delay. The best option is to use the Search Alerts extension instead of the default function, so vendors can set alerts for any combination of search criteria, even by budget, etc. Please describe the use case in more detail and what exactly needs to be automated, and we will try to provide a solution or a workaround.

I’ll try to explain what we are looking for:
We have Lab Service Providers (Vendors) that service certain locations (geolocation driven) and types of testing (attributes or category driven).
We have Lab Service Requesters (Using Request extension) who create requests with matching location and testing type needs.
We’d like to be able to automatically notify (Push vs Pull) Lab Service Providers (Vendors) when a new Request comes in that matches location or testing type.
The Search Alerts require the Lab Service Providers to set up the alerts themselves which for us is not ideal. We’d prefer if Alerts could be created automatically for matching criteria (using location, attributes or categories).
