Make a Select (dropdown) attribute required only if a child is selected

As mentioned in this post a workaround for dependable Select attributes Create two dependent Select attributes

I have one such attribute with parent and child options, and the attribute is required.
But if a user selects the parent, it passes the required flag, and I want the child option to be the requirement.

Hi,

Unfortunately, there’s no such feature; it would require a custom implementation. But thanks for your suggestion, we’ll consider adding this feature.
