Mapbox API makes site extemely slow

I added mapbox API & geolcoation (only country ,city ) to my site but it makes site very very slow. Almost 5 secs to load home page . I check via google page insights but it shows external plugin making site slow & pointing mainly at Mapbox API. How can I increase speed of site . Error is as below
Reduce initial server response time
Eliminate render-blocking resources
