Extra details
Add a link to your site, screenshots or any other details that may help us pinpoint the issue.
We are currently unable to reproduce the issue on our end [please see the screencast that shows that the regions are generated]. Could you please provide more details so we can try to replicate it? For example, any steps we might have missed, screenshots, or a link to your website would be helpful.
Please make sure that in HivePress > Settings > Geolocation you have selected Mapbox as the Map Service Provider, enabled the Region option, generated and pasted both the API and Secret Keys for Mapbox, and are using the latest version of the Geolocation extension. If you have tried all these suggestions and the issue still persists, please send temporary WP access to support@hivepress.io with details for reproducing this issue, and we’ll check it (please send only the link, without login and password). You can create a temporary access link using this plugin.
@kseniia I think I found the issue. It’s an “åäö” issue. If I set the adress to London, England, it works and the country, region, subregion, city is correctly created. But Swedish adresses no longer work, probably because all are in a region called “län” with the ä.
Please try to set your listing to the city “Malmö” and you should be able to replicate the error, I just tried that and the region is remaining at London. Thank you.
It doesn’t seem to be related to umlauts, as we were able to generate regions with names like Malmö, Höör, and Västerås without any issues [please see the screenshot].
