Moderated listings upload flow for new vendors

Hi

Currently first time submitters of listings will be redirected to the Complete Profile page before adding details to the listing. I realized that if a new user (not vendor yet) tries to publish his first listing, and I reject it (moderation), the user has to Complete his (vendor) Profile again before trying to add listing details.

I know that users don’t become vendors until the first listing is published and approved, but this can be frustrating if a Vendor Profile contains many fields and you have to redo them again and again.

Maybe the flow could be:

  • Add listing->if rejected->try Add listing again
  • Add listing->if approved->redirect user to Complete Profile any time he logs in or, if logged in already, if he tries to navigate to other pages within the site

Thank you for the suggestion!

Indeed, the current flow works this way: after declining the listing, the vendor profile is drafted and then deleted.

We’ll definitely look into making this smoother in future updates.
