No paywall or checkout buy/hire button

Hi, I am trying to create a gig marketplace website. I would like to have a buy/hire button in the listings. However, I would like the site to be paywall free without transaction fees or any of the money between users going through my site to avoid platform leakage.

I just want the “hire” button to add clarity between users and to have verified reviews.
I don’t want any of the money to go through my site, but instead just connect the users together and they can handle the payments and contracts between each other, whilst still having the buy button instead of just messages and have ongoing listings in the dashboard.

I purchased the marketplace extension, but I couldn’t figure out a way to set it up in a way where it doesn’t go to checkout or without the money being wired through one of the payment methods, whilst still being able to use the “hire”/ “buy” button functionality.

Ideally the flow would be as follows:
Communicate with the user regarding the listing using the message extension (can already be done with the messages extension) .

Once in agreement the buyer would click the “hire” button and the seller would accept on their end. (no checkout or payments required in any way)

Once the seller has accepted the job it would be seen as ongoing in the user dashboard (no check out or payments required in any way)

When the gig has been accepted by the seller the gig would have a “job completed button”.

Once the buyer clicks the “completed” button he would be able to give a verified review.

Could I somehow bypass all the payment steps and woocommerce features in the marketplace extension, whilst getting the rest of the functionality out of it, such as verified reviews and seeing ongoing and completed jobs in the dashboard?

Hello and welcome,

I am not part of the official support team, but I think in your case you have to set up “Direct Payout”, with no commission.

My two cents,
