Override listing category URL slug

We built a parallel category path to the original listing-category path, e.g.

original: https://sitename.com/listing-category/general-contractor/
parallel: https://sitename.com/services/general-contractor/

The updated “services” path has some enhancements and so we would like to begin updating / overriding features in Hivepress to instead link to the updated path.

For example, in hp-listings within the hp-grid, or on listings themselves, there is a category link, see picture below.

We would like to update the link in these components to use the “/services/” path rather than the listing-category

e.g.

from

original: https://sitename.com/listing-category/general-contractor/

to

parallel: https://sitename.com/services/general-contractor/

What might be the best way to accomplish this?

Hi,

If this is a parallel custom page with a template for categories, we won’t be able to assist with this request, as it requires additional research and falls under custom coding.

As an alternative, please consider changing the category slug in WP > Settings > Permalinks. There’s a field for the Listing Category slug, updating it there instead of duplicating the template will ensure that all links remain valid.
