Private profiles for users/vendors

Hi, it would be great if users and vendors could choose to have their profile public or private. Some users are very sensitive to privacy and depending on what the website is being used for, some people might want to have just certain information displayed and not everything publicly visible to the other users of the platform OR worse, publicly displayed on Google.

Privacy protection is becoming a big thing and users are also becoming very sensitive about that. Something like LinkedIn or other websites where users can choose to have a public profile or a private profile would be great. Maybe with the option: public for the other users of the website (but still protected by the registration so people outside of the website can’t see it) or just publicly visible inside and outside of the platform.

Hi @Xaldin,

You can turn off front-end profiles by visiting HivePress > Settings > Vendors in the backend of WordPress, and unchecking this option:

I hope this helps!

Hi,

As Chris mentioned, vendor profiles can be hidden from the front end. Regarding regular users, there isn’t a feature to display user profiles on the front end because WordPress itself doesn’t have this functionality built in at the core level.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.
