Progress on adding direct vendor profile reviews?

Dear community, beloved admins,

Like many others, I am proudly using Hivepress to create a marketplace for niched goods, where listings are often added and then deleted once sold. Of course, this means that the current review feature (centered on listings, where the overall rating of the vendor is a mean of his listings’ reviews) does not really work. What I would need is a way for each user to leave one review for the overall vendor profile, and the overall score to be calculated based on those.

After browsing through topics, I realized this is a common issue for many of us, and fortunately I’ve seen that it was also recognized by developers and added to the Asana Roadmap to be added as a feature in 6 months time (Reviews Roadmap – Asana).

Now, while this sounds promising, truth is that this feature was also “planned to be added” since 2022 topics, so I would like to ask:

  1. Are we sure that this feature will actually get implemented in the next 6 months?
  2. If not, then what would be the best workaround you found so far to fix this? I’ve seen multiple ideas (adding a hidden listing, creating custom plugins, …) but none that actually fixed it completely. I’m mentioning that I do have some coding experience, if it’s any help.

Thank you for your feedback. Yes, we are planning to release this feature in the next 6 months as we try to make the development process as predictable as possible, but there are always issues that need to be fixed, so the release date of the features may be delayed.

If you are familiar with coding or have a developer, you can use the workaround described in this topic: Review vendor feature - #10 by gabriel.moya.
