Recommended backup tool

When we export our website xml file using the WordPress import/export tool for backup purposes then import the xml file to restore our website the restored version is all screwed up and we have to fix menus and make various adjustment to return our website to what it looked like before.

Is their a recommended backup/restore plugin that you guys recommend? One that will correctly and consistently restore the website with having to do s bunch of work after the restoration completes?
