Region with own page

Hi,

I have read all the questions in the forum about SEO and individual regional pages. There was information that this feature will be introduced soon. Is there any information here yet?

What I am interested in is that each region automatically gets a page, which is all listed in the footer sorted by country. This can generate a huge amount of traffic for the site. Please find example from other travel site attached.

Hi Sabine,

On my website, I see a new tab available called Regions

This is probably what you are looking for?

The problem that I have now, is that the urls of the region or city pages created are not very SEO friendly in my opinion.

They are friendly when you search at the city level, so for example in new-york, the URLs look like /listing-region/new-york/. But when you then try to filter by category for this city, say you have a barbershop category, the system just creates a totally SEO unfriendly URL such as /?_sort=&s=&post_type=hp_listing&latitude=&longitude=&_region=place.20768782&_category=35&location=New York

I am wondering if the SEO addon sold can fix this?

Hi Dorian,

thanks for your input and your advice. I’ve already seen the tab.

But I want all of these regions to be displayed on an overview page, as in my screenshot. By clicking on the individual regions, it should be possible to store SEO text and images there. With Yoast SEO, I can already store titles and snippets on the pages.

Hi,

You can change the region urls in Listings > Regions, and they are not unlinked by these changes. Also, it is possible that such settings are available in RankMath, i.e. to enable the SEO feature for regions (since it is a custom taxonomy).

Hi,

Yes, we are planning to add more features for pages, but for now, for example, each region has its own page, you can click view next to each region in Listings > Regions and use any third-party WordPress widgets that support custom taxonomies. For example, you can add regions to the menu or use this plugin: List Custom Taxonomy Widget – Plugin WordPress | WordPress.org España. Another option for SEO is to create niche pages with listings and categories and regions, as described in this topic: Support for combined category/location pages with SEO-friendly URLs? - #4 by andrii (that is, create a page and call it “plumbers in new york” for SEO and select the Plumbers category in the Listings block and New York as the region).

I hope this is helpful to you

Hi,
Thank you very much. This is useful!
And I am looking forward to have more features for pages.
