Restrict vendors from Messaging as well as Following themselves.

When they try, nothing should happen or they should get a message that they cannot follow or message or email themselves.

Please note that we do not have a follow function. Maybe you downloaded the sample extension from the dev docs? If you want to prevent your listings from being added to favorites, you’ll need to make advanced customizations.

As for restricted messages, users can’t send messages to themselves anyway. But we have two types of restrictions:

  1. If you have the Marketplace extension, you can Restrict messages to buyers in HivePress > Settings > Orders, then the customer will be able to send a message only after payment.

  2. Also, if you have the Memberships extension, you can restrict access to messages, please check these docs: Memberships - HivePress Help Center

This is what I meant:

The message extension allows the userA to message himself (userA to userA).

The follow extension also allow this behavior. But, if you noticed, our third-party chat extension doesn’t all it.

Please do not post adult content, as it will be automatically removed. Please note that when you try to send messages to your own profile, an error is displayed, so you will not be able to do so. As for the display of the send button, it is like a preview, as seen by all other users.
