Search does not work if a category is not selected

I just deactivated the “display categories instead of listings” in order to work on settings.
Now it’s reactivated , please retry to reproduce the problem described above.

In fact found on this forum that could be an “expected” behaviour…

I don’t think it’s correct because the search filter clearly indicates the possibility to choose “ALL categories” and by the way it works when a result has been previously displayed without selecting a category, so…

Hi there, I’m experiencing a complete malfunction of the search function. Even when I type the exact title of an existing listing, it doesn’t yield any results. I understand how it works now and it’s fine like that but in regards to the search bar at the top, I would prefer if it could act the way it acts in the home page. If a keyword is searched I would prefer it search all categories and display the results from all categories… However the categories icons can be used to search a particular category if clicked on as normal Do you understand ?
