Searching issue in multi-language site

I use HivePress/ListingHive with Polylang.

English listing search works with:
https://bushbazar.com/?post_type=hp_listing

My Persian homepage is:
https://bushbazar.com/fa/

My Persian listings page is:
https://bushbazar.com/fa/listing-fa/

The Persian listings page can show listings, but search with ?s= does not return results. How can I make the HivePress listing search/archive language-aware for Persian with Polylang?

Hi,

Could you please clarify what URL you see when clicking Search on the Persian version of the site?

In particular, could you please confirm if the language prefix, such as /fa/, remains in the URL after performing a search, or if the search redirects to the root URL without the language prefix, for example directly to /?post_type=...?

At the moment, HivePress doesn’t have full integration with Polylang, although we do have integration with WPML if you’d like to consider that option.

We also plan to improve Polylang integration in the future. Thanks for reporting this and for helping us identify areas where the integration can be improved.

Please make sure that the listings have corresponding translated entries configured in Polylang.

As an additional troubleshooting step, please try switching to the default WordPress permalinks and check the behavior again. This will help us rule out a possible issue related to the current permalink structure.

If the issue still persists, please let us know. Our developer can then take a closer look at the issue in detail and, if possible, provide a temporary fix while we work toward full Polylang integration.

The language prefix remains the same.

This is the premalink for Persian listings page https://bushbazar.com/fa/listing-fa/

But when I hit the search button, it changes to /fa/listings/

While we don’t have official integration with Polylang at the moment, our developer can take a closer look at the issue and see if there is a simple fix that can be implemented directly on your site. Please send temporary WP access to support@hivepress.io with details for reproducing this issue, and we’ll check it (please send only the link, without login and password). You can create a temporary access link using this plugin.

As mentioned earlier, you can also consider switching to WPML, which has integration with HivePress, or using an automatic translation tool.
