"sender_display_name" field is required

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create account with Username = Email
  2. Select Reply To Listing button
  3. Error and user blocked from sending messages

Actual:
Error: ‘“sender_display_name” field is required’
When checking User: “Display name publicly as” is empty

Workaround:
Manually select “Display name publicly as”

Could you please clarify if you have any customizations on your website? We tried to reproduce the issue according to the steps you described, but we weren’t able to recreate it.

Are you referring to the “Display Name” setting found in HivePress > Settings > Listings when you mention the “Display name publicly as” setting?

I am referring to “Display name publicly as” in the Users.
I don’t have any customisation.
User registered himself manually typing email in Username and Email fields.


We followed the steps to reproduce the bug: enabled the option to enter username and email in the registration form, entered email in those fields, completed registration, then tried to reply to a listing and received a notification that the message was sent.

Please let us know if there are missing steps or other configurations that might cause this bug.
