Setting up and testing the theme with VS Code

Hello!

I want to open and test edits on my ExpertPress in my VS Code developer environment. I am selecting my index.php file and executing on the local server (MAMP), but for some reason it is not opening for me. Do I needing to .zip together any files or select any particular files/folder for opening my ExpertPress in my developer environment?

Hi,

I recommend using Local https://localwp.com/ for local WP development. Once you install WordPress, set up the theme etc. you can add it to your VS Code workspace.
