But when I create a new listing the web address field is empty, shouldn’t the vendor web address be copied from the vendor to the listing?
When I update the vendor web address , I dont see any change on the vendor listings web addresses, shouldn’t all listing belonging to the vendor now have that web address?
I am really having a hard time making this feature work. I tried what you said and also tried on a totally new test environment to no avail. Do you have video of how to use this feature or any other way to help?
Here is what I am did:
1- I created a new Vendor attribute called “web address” type “URL” and field name is “web_address”
2- I created a new Listing attribute called “web address” type “URL” and checked the box “Sync with the vendor field” and the field name is “web_address”.
3- I created a new vendor and added a new URL called “googled.com”
4- First I started creating a new listing for that vendor and was hoping the web address will populate with the vendor web address “googled.com” but it didn’t
5- Then I saved the new listing hoping after saving the web address will be populated, it didn’t.
6- I tried different versions of this in different environment to no success.
Note the I have Version 1.7.9 of hivepress and no extra plugin and customization.
This would be a cool feature if I could actually get it to work but it is not working right now.
Update: I checked a listing that I created earlier and now see the web address but I still don’t see it on new listings. This feature is not working consistently for me and i would appreciate some guidance. Thanks
Please make sure you have the latest version of HivePress 1.7.9. If you are sure that you have the latest version of HivePress, try to test everything by adding two new listings.
