I was wondering if there is anyone to set up an attribute to make it works like tags.
I try to set up an attribute like this :
Edit field → Text
Search field → Select
However, the text are not displayed in the select field (both if I check multiple selection or not)
It could be very useful in my case because I want vendor to be able to enter any subject of classroom while applying and make it searchable in a select field for user when they are looking for a classroom.
I hope my need is clear enough.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Unfortunately there’s no way to do this for custom attributes, because in WordPress non-selectable (number, text) and selectable (select, radio buttons) types are stored differently (as meta fields and taxonomy terms), so if you set non-selectable and selectable types for the same attribute (in Edit and Search contexts) it will not work correctly. If only a single tag-like attribute is required please try using Tags for this purpose, this extension is included with any of our premium themes.
