If the paid listing expires, the user can renew it without making another payment.
I also found this issue mentioned at the following URL.
Even now, expired paid listings can still be renewed without any payment.
This problem was raised back in February 2024, but has it still not been fixed?
This effectively means that once you pay, your listing can stay at the top indefinitely, which is unfair.
Hi,
Thanks for the details. Please note that this issue has been fixed, but in the Memberships extension. Starting from the 2.0.0 version of Memberships, this extension inherited all the features of Paid Listings, so we recommend that you consider it, as Paid Listings will no longer be updated from our side.
I hope it helps
Are we supposed to delete the Paid Listings plugin and use a Membership plugin instead?
Hi,
Sorry for the confusion. We have checked this issue in more detail and it has been fixed in the latest Paid Listings updates. Please make sure you have the latest version of this extension. But, yes, you can simply disable the Paid Listings extension and work with Memberships only. Please note that if you have active packages, you need to use them first and then create new plans in Memberships, as the settings are not transferred.
I believe I’m using the latest version of the Paid Listings plugin.
However, this issue still occurred.
Could you please tell me the latest version number? I’ll check my version.
Hi,
The Paid Listings extension latest version is 1.1.9
Thank you for your response. I have also confirmed that I am using the latest version. However, this issue still occurred.
I have already purchased the membership plugin, but is there any guide that explains how to configure the same functionality as the paid listing plugin?
