Does the RentalHive license work on a multisite network? In other words, if the license is activated on the main site, is that enough for it to work on the other sites as well?

Multisite with Subdomains or Subdirectories
You do NOT necessarily need multiple domains for a multisite network. WordPress Multisite allows you to:
- Use subdomains (e.g., site1.example.com , site2.example.com ) — all under one main domain
- Use subdirectories (e.g., example.com/site1 , example.com/site2 ) — all on the same domain
Both approaches work with a single domain and single database.
Important Considerations with HivePress
However, there are some important things to know:

We haven’t fully tested HivePress with Multisite, so while there are no known issues, we can’t guarantee 100% compatibility

User interactions across sites can be limited — users need to exist on each site in the network to properly interact with reservations and messages

For large-scale operations , we generally recommend using separate WordPress installations instead of Multisite, as Multisite stores all data in one database, which can become overloaded with thousands of bookings
Licensing
Keep in mind that each separate domain/site typically requires its own license. If you’re using Multisite with one domain, you would generally need only one license.

Yes, it’s enough as long as the domain is the same. For example, sub-domains are often used for different languages or locations for the same main website.

It’s sufficient for the currently active licenses, since subdomains are often used for localization or targeting the same website to different countries/locations, especially with the Multisite network, where the user database is shared by websites.
