I deleted the blog page on my website and I then noticed that there is still a menu for it near the footer of my homepage. However, unlike the menus next to it, it does not have a blue pencil and does not respond when I shift click on it. How can I go about removing this?

Try remove it from widget side.
Appearance > Widgets > site (footer).
