Hello, after adding Wordfence on my site and scanning it, I (and the users) became unable to sign in on my website. When I click “Sign In” button, I am redirected to the home page without signing in. I tried disabling all the third party plugins, deleting the hivepress plugin itself and reinstalling it, but nothing works.
I just realizez the bug weeks after using Wordfence, so I don’t know if the problem was actually the plugin or another thing.
Yeah same thing (problem with the link #user_login_modal).
Please let me know if you find any solution, I will keep you updated if I solve the problem too.
I think I found out where it comes from.
Well, more or less.
The problem only happens when I am using my default profile on Chrome, the one heavy on chrome extensions.
One of these extensions, which one I don’t know unfortunately, may cause some erratic behaviour on some website display, like here. But I have seen it before too.
When I go in incognito mode (Ctrl+Maj+N), no extensions are loaded (at least only the ones I allowed), and the problem does not occur.
I also created another profile (linked to different gmail account) on Chrome : no extensions loaded here. It’s just a debugging profile to have different sessions open at the same time. No problem here either.
So @xclass, I suggest you try out too, and report what happens.
We checked this issue from our side, and it seems okay. Please provide more details regarding this issue (e.g., your actions step by step with screenshots, screencast, etc.). This will help us to reproduce and resolve the issue faster.
I just checked and seems that it is possible to login and post listings, but even when logged in, it shows to me “sign in” and “register” when I go to the home page.
Most likely, this is a caching issue. If you use a caching plugin, make sure that caching is disabled for logged-in users. Also, make sure that there is no caching on the part of the hosting provider.
