Using the license on a new domain after the original domain has expired

Hi

I purchased RentalHive license and activated it for a specific domain. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, I never completed the development of that website. The domain has now expired and is no longer available for purchase. Would it be possible to reassign the license to a new domain and use it on my new website?

thanks

Hi @aukline,

You can absolutely reassign your RentalHive license to a new domain. Since you own the license, you have the flexibility to use it on different websites as needed.

Here’s what you can do:

  1. Deactivate the license from the old do- main (if possible) or simply set up your new website on the new domain

  2. Copy your license key and enter it in the HivePress settings on your new website

  3. Everything should work correctly without any additional issues

The license is tied to your purchase, not to a specific domain, so you can transfer it to your new domain without any problems.

If you still have access to your hosting provider, you may still have your site-in-progress available. (Your domain name is seperate from your hosting.)

I hope this helps!

Cheers,
Chris :victory_hand:
