Where does HivePress store listing category associations?

Hello Hivepress Community,

I’m looking in PHPMyAdmin for where the association is between a hp_listing post (in wp_posts table) and the assigned categories for that listing. I’d assume it would be in wp_postmeta, however I do not see any meta_keys or meta_values which indicate serialized category identifiers (i.e. the numbers associated with those categories in wp_terms, wp_terms_relationships, and wp_term_taxonomy).

Where else could this little bugger live?

Ended up answering my own question….In case anyone else needs it:

HivePress/ExpertHive stores listing–category assignments in WordPress’s taxonomy tables, not in wp_postmeta.

Where the data lives

  • Taxonomy name: hp_listing_category

Tables & linkage (standard WP):

  • wp_posts.ID (your listing post, type = hp_listing)

  • wp_term_relationships.object_id → links a post to a term-taxonomy row

  • wp_term_taxonomy.term_taxonomy_id (with taxonomy = 'hp_listing_category')

  • wp_terms.term_id / wp_terms.slug / wp_terms.name (the actual category)
