Importing address data

Hi. When importing location data via a bulk import, the HivePress system is not registering the address as readable by Google maps. The address data imported will not display a map on the listing page. In order to get that to happen, I have to manually go in and click on the navigation button as shown in the attached image. Once I do that, it pulls the official data from google maps and then the map will display on the listing page.

Is there anything I can do as part of the bulk import to avoid this manual step? What I want is to be able to upload my data and not have to manually select the address for each listing to display a map on the listing page. I’ve included another image that shows some sample addresses that I’m uploading. Note that I’ve tried uploading address with commas in the appropriate place but I’m still having the same problem.

i have my csv file of data (a list of museums with address, fees, contact info, etc.). I have the HivePress Import plugin. I don’t know how to migrate these properly. Each time I try it’s a little off. I am thinking I will create the categories, attributes, etc., then manually enter a few entries. Then i will EXPORT these into CSV, so I can see the proper CSV format which I will then use to IMPORT the rest. Is this a feasible plan? How can i do this? Thank you

Hi,

As ChrisB pointed out, you can find a solution for properly importing geolocation data in the attached topic.

TL;DR: To import geolocation successfully, you need to include both longitude and latitude coordinates in addition to the address information.
